BACKGROUND
JWC specialises in motion control for the film industry, but often lean on their expertise to design equipment in other areas of electronics. In this case, they were designing and building laser therapy units for animal physiotherapists. The units are crucial for treating animal injuries and incorporate a PCB that controls laser diodes. The primary challenge was delivering a cost-effective product to the market, particularly targeting recently qualified animal physiotherapists with limited budgets.
THE CHALLENGE
Facing budget constraints, JWC sought a Contract Electronics Manufacturer (CEM) to efficiently populate the PCBs for their laser therapy units. Competitors’ services, for initial smaller numbers, using pick and place machines, proved expensive. The need was clear – find a solution that ensured affordability without compromising quality or precision.
THE SOLUTION
